Cervical spinal cord injury outlook

People who have experienced a cervical spinal cord injury affecting the C1-C4 vertebrae will almost certainly have some paralysis, ranging from full body paralysis to quadriplegia. Many will not be able to breath independently and although some may be able to use a power-wheelchair to regain a small amount of independence, most patients with a C1 or C2 injury will require constant care for the rest of their life.
